Premier League Match Report: Tottenham Hotspur vs Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 – Part 2
The second half kicked off with Tottenham taking the game to QPR right after the restart and with the home side looking like they were easily going to score a few more goals in the game.
However, as the match progressed, the visitors finally started to get a strong footing in the game, as they looked to create a chance or two of their own.
In the 62nd minute, QPR got right back in the game as they managed to score their first goal of the game. Helguson went on to head across the face of the goal. Bothroyd was the quickest player to react to the ball and went on to head the ball
into the goal. As a result, the score card now read two goals to one in favour of Tottenham.
In the 72nd minute, Tottenham went on to reclaim the two goal advantage once again as Bale scored a brilliant goal on behalf of Tottenham. After a number of passes between the Tottenham players, the ball fell to the winger on the edge of the box
and he curled in a brilliant shot into the top corner, as he sent Spurs up by three goals to one.
Following the goal, Tottenham attacked the QPR goal on a number of occasions, however they just didn’t seem too keen on getting forward and creating real goal scoring opportunities. The team seemed more inclined to just stroking the ball around and defending
their lead.
As the game headed into stoppage time, QPR went all out as they attacked the Tottenham goal time and time again. However, despite their best efforts, they just couldn’t find that one clear cut opportunity which would see them score another goal in the game.
The match then ended with Tottenham taking all three points, after winning the game by three goals to one.
