Following a very impressive run in their opening games, Everton looked to try and claim all three points against West Brom.
The Baggies weren’t doing as good as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019, but with them playing at home, they were bound to have some luck working in their favour.
As soon as the match kicked off, it became apparent that the game was going to be one of missed chances.
Both the teams kept on attacking each other, but despite all the chances that the created, none of them could manage to find the back of the net.
Their efforts were either being hit well off target, or were being sent straight into the arms of the keepers.
However, right before the end of the first half, West Brom had a glorious opportunity to go one nil up.
Morrison went on to smash a shot at goal from close range, but Howard managed to stick out an arm at the very last minute, as he deflected the ball up and away from danger.
The second half kicked off in the same manner, but it saw Fellaini get involved in the game a whole lot more for Everton.
In the 64th minute, the towering midfielder had the goal at his mercy, but after he received the ball at the far post, he failed to judge his shot and sent his effort well wide of the mark.
That miss proved to be costly as a minute later, West Brom scored at the other end. Odemwingie went on to whip in a brilliant cross from the left and Shane Long went on to connect with the ball, as he guided it past the keeper and into the back of the net.
Everton tried to get back in the game after that goal, but once again they failed to make the most of their chances.
Eight minutes from time, West Brom put the game to bed as they scored their second goal of the game.
In the 82nd minute, Howard came forward to claim a corner, but failed to gather the ball. McAuley was on hand to capitalize as he nodded the ball into the back of the net.
As a result, West Brom went on to beat Everton by two goals to nil.
