Blackburn travelled to West Brom, to play their first match under new caretaker manager, Steve Kean. A lot of people doubted the visiting team's ability to perform under the new manager, prior to kick off. This was because of the
fact that Kean never really had a job as a manager before and still needed a lot of fine-tuning.
Nonetheless, all of that was not going to delay the match any further, as the game began according to schedule.
Almost immediately after the kick-off, Blackburn started to impress the crowd with their intricate plays. The team was dominating early on and as a result managed to score the opening goal on the night as well, in only the fourth

his foot, to equalize for the home team.
The next goal came in the fifty-second minute, via Kalinic once again. The player rose the highest to meet a brilliant corner and guided the ball into the back of the net with great skill.
However, Blackburn were not quite done. Ten minutes later the team had their third goal of the night. Diouf once again was the man in the middle of things for the visiting side. A short corner was taken by Blackburn and Diouf managed
to race into the box, to clip the ball into the back of the net after a series of passes to secure all three points for the visiting side and to give Kean his first win as Blackburn manager.
