Premier League Match report: Norwich City vs West Bromwich Albion – Part 1
Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion faced off in both the teams fourth game in the Premier League campaign this time around. Norwich were going into the game with a point to prove and to ensure that they were no longer the pushovers that everyone was labelling
them to be. On the other hand, West Brom were looking to get the maximum number of points early on in the season, in order to ensure their stay in the Premier League this season.
The match kicked off with West Brom taking the game to their opponents early on and in just the 3rd minute opened the scoring.
A ball was played over the top into the Norwich box and with the defence failing to clear their lines, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Peter-Odemwingie-c29794 pounced on the occasion and tapped the ball into the back of the net.
In the 36th minute of the game, Rudd Mulumbu went on play Odemwingie on with a brilliant through ball. The striker then went on to slide an effort goalwards, but at the last minute the Norwich keeper managed to block the shot from crossing the
line via his legs.
In the 40th minute of the game, Dorrans found some space and took a pop at goal. His effort was hit with venom and went on to shake the post. The ball then fell back to his feet and he had another shot at goal. This time around Rudd managed to
block the ball and then cleared his lines. However, Rudd picked up an injury during the clearance and needed a minute to get back to his feet.
Soon after, the first half came to an end and Odemwingie’s goal proved to be the difference during the first half. However, the second half was bound to be interesting with everything to play for.
However, the way the first half ended, everyone was favouring West Brom to pick up all three points from the game.
