West Ham United took on Premier League new boys Southampton in the Premier League, as both the promoted teams were looking to seal three points for themselves in the game. However, with West Ham having far more experience in the league, they were bound to
have the upper hand in the game.
The first goal of the game came all the way in the second half of the match.
In the 47th minute of the match, Mark Noble went on to bend in a tantalizing free kick, which beat everyone and somehow sailed into the back of the net. There were a few claims over who touched the ball last, but after reviews the goal was awarded

Southampton finally got something back in the 64th minute, as they scored a goal to reduce the deficit. Rodriguez went on to pick out Lallana with a pass, and the Southampton player went on to use his first touch to create space, before smashing
the ball into the net.
Fonte went on to take out Carroll in the 71st minute, and the referee saw that foul as being harsh enough to award a penalty to West Ham.
Noble stepped up to take the spot kick, and after keeping his cool, he sent the ball into the back of the net with ease.
Before the game came to an end, West Ham scored a fourth and final goal, which wrapped the game up for them.
