Premier League News: Arsene Wenger claims that Arsenal fans should not expect over-the-top signings in the summers
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 manager, Arsene Wenger after watching his team falter once again, has gone on to admit that he is going to be brining a bunch of new faces in the summers. However, at the same time, the manager has gone on to insist that the fans should not expect
any over the top singings.
Following a two all draw with Fulham, on the last day of the season, The Gunners went on to finish the season in the fourth spot in the League. This was despite the fact that just weeks ago, Arsenal were on the brink of winning the league.
Nonetheless, the manager seems to have realised that he needs to bring in reinforcements of some sort, if his team are to stand any chance in the league this coming season.
When talking about his potential signings for the coming term, the manager is reported to have said: "We need good players, world-class players"
"We will try to buy the right players. Spending is not a purpose, it's not our goal. We want the right players.
"We have to be conscious that we cannot buy players for £50million. We fight with opponents who can do that.
"You have to live in a realistic world, therefore we will give it our best to strengthen the team."
Despite having finished in such a miserably spot in the league, the Gunners boss seems to be up to his old tricks. After raising up everyone’s hopes, he then went on to crush them almost immediately, with his words.
When we step back, it is easy to see just what is wrong with Arsenal. Despite the team possessing some of the best players in the world at the moment, they lack in one department. That department just so happens to be experience and as we all know, even
with all the skill in the world, if you don’t have experience, you really can’t achieve much.
What Arsenal really need, is a couple of singings to help tweak up the squad and bring in that much needed experience to the squad.
At the moment, the team could really use two world class defenders, one holding midfielder and a striker, who can play throughout the season, without picking up injuries.
Wenger had previously gone on to hint that he had ample money, with which to go shopping in the summers, now, should the manager use that money tactfully, then the Gunners could potentially end their trophy drought, this coming season.
