Premier League News: Dirk Kuyt refusing to rule out Europa League finish for Liverpool
Liverpool striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dirk-Kuyt-c11348 has gone on to state that the Reds still possess a very strong chance of ending the season in a Europa League spot. The player made these comments after Tottenham Hotspur went on to beat the Reds by two goals to nil at Anfield,
which went on to give a massive boost to the London based team to end the season with a spot in Europe next season.
Having won that game, the way it stands now is that, should Tottenham go on to beat Birmingham City at the White Hart Lane in the last game of the season for the Spurs, then Harry Redknapp and his team will be running things in the Europa League next season.
However, should the team fail to secure a win in the game and Liverpool manage to beat Aston Villa at the Villa Park, then the Reds would end up playing in the Europa League.
Following the game, a very disappointed yet hopeful Kuyt is quoted to have said: "Obviously the result was very disappointing"

"We all hoped for a good result and a win, but it didn't happen.

"There's still one game to go and hopefully they [Spurs] will draw next week and we win and get into Europe next season.

"It's disappointing. We gave everything but it wasn't as good as the last couple of weeks."
What is interesting to see here, is the level of optimism that the Liverpool players have developed in recent weeks. At one point in the season, the Reds were looking to be dangling over the relegation zone, but are now looking to end the season with a spot
in Europe.
Most of this success if not all of it was made possible due to the brilliant work that Kenny Dalglish has put into the side. Nonetheless, all that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 can do at the moment, is give it their all when they take on Aston Villa and hope that Tottenham
manage to find Birmingham City to be a much greater stumbling block then they are being assumed to be at the moment.
According to most experts, Liverpool are the team that need to be more cautious. With a number of players at Villa Park looking to end the season on a high, to try and catch the eye of bigger teams in Europe, they might just bring their best when they take
on Liverpool.
However, it is now going to be a wait till the end of the weekend to see what team ends up catching that coveted European spot.
