Premier League News: Emmanuel Frimpong believes Jack Wilshere’s consistency is key to his success
Arsenal’s Emmanuel Frimpong believes that Jack Wilshere’s consistent performances have proven to be the key to his outstanding run in at Arsenal this season.
Wilshere made the move to the Gunners starting eleven, when the team was overflowing with injured players. However, ever since making the move to the team, the player has not looked back once. Wilshere has been putting in brilliant performance after the other and has already been hailed to be the future for the Gunners and the England national team.
Due to his brilliant displays, the player went on to win the PFA Young Player of the Year award and he has also managed to establish himself as a regular in the Arsenal midfield.
Frimpong, who himself is a product of the Arsenal youth academy, strongly believes that the youngsters at the Emirates should follow in the footsteps of Wilshere and be consistent in their performances. Should they manage to do just that, then they could potentially achieve as much as Wilshere has done, in such a short spell.
When talking about Wilshere, Frimpong is reported to have said: “The thing that is different between Jack and most of the Arsenal Reserve players is that he is very consistent, you hardly ever see him have a bad game.”
“We have got lots of players in the Reserves that are very good players, in my opinion even as good as Jack on their day. But they don’t have that day as often [and] that is where the difference is.
“To get into the first-team you have to be playing good all the time. We have to keep working hard if we want to get where Jack is. That is where we all want to be”
