Premier League News: Liverpool keeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pepe-Reina-c29672 expects a big summer at Anfield
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 keeper and Spanish international, Pepe Reina has gone on to state that there is going to be a big summer at Anfield this time around. The player also went on to state that this big summer would go hand in hand with the vision that the club’s owners
have for the team and if anything, it would only help make Liverpool even better than they already are.
Reina at a number of points this season was being linked with a move away from Anfield at the end of the season. However, watching the team turn their fortunes around under the management of Kenny Dalglish, the player has gone on to confirm his stay at the
club.
The player when talking about the future of the club is quoted to have said: "I think the owners are preparing a big summer and hopefully we are going to be right in there with transfers and those players who are coming in will help us to improve the squad.”
Having said that, the player went on to confirm that earlier this season a number of people, including the players at the club doubted the club.
"In December and January I think most of the people, not just us players, doubted we were good enough.”
The player then turned his attention back to next season and added: "Next season it will be more positive and the quicker we react and improve the better it will be for the club.”
Reina then ended on a positive note and once again confirmed to the fact that he was more than happy to be an Anfield.
"I am happy here and my family really wanted to stay because we are happy."
It seems like the players at the club are already well aware of the fact that there is going to be a major influx of players at the club at the end of the season. However, the likes of Reina need not worry about their spot in the first-team, since instead
of brining in replacements; the team is looking to have a sort of an overhaul at the club.
Nonetheless, at the same time it is nothing by good news for the club that Reina has confirmed his stay at the club. Had the goal keeper opted to move away from the club, then the team would have had to spend a major portion of their transfer fee on trying
to bring in a keeper who would be able to replace him at the club.
All in all, it seems like things at Liverpool are finally going back to the way they were in the past, with the team looking to be on route to return to their former glory.
