The Gunners went into the game knowing that they needed to pick up all three points in order to ensure their hopes of challenging for the title at the end of the season and weren’t looking to hold anything back in the game.
Following a decent performance, Arsenal went on to win thanks to Robin Van Persie, who scored the only goal of the game.

He was solid and almost unbeatable in the game. The only problems he had, was when he had to deal with pace.

Mikel Arteta: The midfielder showed Everton just what they lost after they let him go. Used his skills and passing ability brilliantly, in order to control the flow and the pace of the game.

performance thanks to the pass that he played, which set Van Persie up for the only goal of the game.
