http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699: The keeper hardly had anything to do for most parts of the game. However, he could have reacted a little quicker to try and get a hand on Kaboul’s header, which flew into the back of the net.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pablo-Zabaleta-c29022: The full back had a pretty good game and was solid for the most part. He kept Bale quiet and didn’t seem to suffer any problems during the game.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vincent-Kompany-c36184: The defender was outstanding. His tackling was spot on and his headers and interceptions were also to the point and highly effective and important for his team.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joleon-Lescott-c18941: The defender had very little to do, given that Kompany was running the show at the back, but played his part and defended well.
Gael Clichy: Had a decent game, didn’t need to do much as Lennon was well below his normal standards.
Yaya Toure: Got booked for showing his frustration, but proved that he could play as a holding player once again. Managed to get an assist in the game, which saw Dzeko score his third goal.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Barry-c14423: Made some very poor tackles, but apart from that, he was the City player responsible for doing all the dirty work, which he did no questions asked.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360.
Samir Nasri: Immediately settled into the City squad. Set up Dzeko for two goal and seemed lively throughout the game. Seems to be a brilliant buy by City.
Kun Aguero: The forward was back to his best. He was lively, made surging runs and some good tackles. He linked up with Nasri brilliantly to score a delightful goal and seems to be making his mark with City.
Edin Dzeko: Scored four goals during the game and took home the match ball and the man of the match award. Made some perfectly timed runs to get ahead of his defenders to tap in the goals and curled in a superb goal from the edge of the box for his fourth
goal. All in all, it seems like Dzeko has finally settled in at City.
