Premier League Predictions: Game Week 15 – Part 2
In Part two of our Premier League Predictions for Game Week 15, we look at the relegation 6 pointer between Wigan and West Ham and also predict results for the two clubs from Manchester.
However, we start off with the game at Craven Cottage:
Fulham v Birmingham:
Birmingham are a tough nut to crack as Chelsea players would tell you. They are coming off from an amazing win against the champions and would fancy their chances against an out-of-form Fulham team.
Fulham, who are now winless in 4 games and have only picked up 2 points during that time, would like to bring about a change in their fortunes. Craven Cottage is not an easy place to go and Fulham would love to take all three points against a decent opposition.
Neither of the teams is strong going forward and is build on their strong defences. By the look of it, the match has got a draw written all over it, and a tame draw should not surprise anyone.
Prediction: 0-0
Manchester United v Blackburn:
Blackburn have been in decent form of late but that would count for little when they travel to Old Trafford. Sam Allardyce’s men have picked up 9 points from a possible 12 in their last 4 Premier League fixtures. Pederson has been in good form of late and
scored a couple, last weekend.
Manchester United, who still seem to lack fluidity in their play, are the most in-form team in the league, with 4 wins and 2 draws in their last six Premier League outings. Manchester United will be buoyed by the return of Wayne Rooney, but it will take
him time to get back to his best.
Blackburn will go into this match in confident mood, knowing that they have nothing to lose. However, Manchester United need to be more ruthless in their play or otherwise a more than likely upset is much in the waiting. At Old Trafford, predicting anything
other than a United win is rare, so we will stick to that for the time being.
Prediction: 2-1
Stoke v Manchester City:
After 1 win in 5 games including 2 defeats and two tame goalless draws, Manchester City responded with a resounding win over Fulham at Craven Cottage. A win was needed but the manner in which the task was accomplished would have pleased most City fans. A
4-1 score line would put City in great stead for their second away trip in two games.
Stoke have emerged from their 4 defeats in a row with 3 wins from last 3 fixtures. Their early season form made them top relegation contenders, but Tony Pulis’ men are starting to move up the table now.
They are a strong and physical unit and City will give a good run for their money, but they might just prove too strong for Stoke. Tevez is back in form and Manchester City have some strong men of their own. It is set up nicely for a good 90 minutes of football,
where Manchester City will be the happier of the two teams at the end of it.
Prediction: 2-3
West Ham v Wigan:
It looks like a relegation 6 pointer already. Wigan have been playing some good football this season and they will be again looking at their star man Charles N’Zogbia to provide them with much needed spark. They did reasonably well with 9 men at Old Trafford
last weekend and with an away trip to Upton Park, they will fancy their chances.
West Ham have been poor to say the least and if their last weekend’s showing is to go by anything, then this team is destined to stay right at the bottom come the end of May next year. The Hammers have lost their assistant manager and Avram Grant would want
his players to show some desire and get all three points.
Avram Grant could well lose his job if Wigan can get all three points here and to make things interesting, we will go for the sack.
Prediction: 0-1
