Premier League Predictions: Match Week 13 - Part 2
We predicted the results for 5 of the games to be played on Saturday in Part 1. Now, we look at the remaining fixtures of the weekend:
Wigan vs. West Brom:
Wigan once again came up with good performance after a poor one. This will be a tricky fixture for both teams. Wigan can always surprise you, just like they did in midweek against Liverpool. This is a great chance for the home team to go and take all three
points from the newly promoted.
West Brom have picked up only one point from their last three games and are going through a rough patch after a bright start to the season. The player of the season so far Odemwingie is back on the score sheet and will be crucial to West Brom chances at
the DW Stadium.
We expect this to be an exciting encounter and will hopefully see plenty of goals.
Prediction: 2-2
Wolves vs. Bolton:
Wolves are looking really good; they beat City, almost deservedly got a point against Manchester United and dominated Arsenal on Wednesday night.
They now face an in-form Bolton team and they will be in confident mood that if they can play like they have been doing in the past 3 games then they certainly can get all three points against Bolton.
Bolton have changed their style of play under Owen Coyle and have added an attacking dimension to it. They nearly beat Everton at Goodison and had it not been for the 94th minute equaliser, Bolton would have come away with all three points.
Wolves hold a slight advantage in this game and if they play the way they have been playing then a win is inevitable.
Prediction: 2-1
Stoke vs. Liverpool:
Stoke ended their run of 4 defeats on the trot with a win over Birmingham City. The win would have given them the much needed confidence going into this game.
Liverpool have been a bit naive away from home this season. They took the lead at Wigan but failed to capitalise and allowed Wigan to dominate them. This attitude might just be favourable for a Stoke side who will try to use their big players to overpower
Liverpool.
Liverpool have been in decent form of late and we can’t see them dropping all three points but it will again depend on how Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres perform.
The result of this match depends on how Liverpool play. If they go out for the win they might just get one.
Prediction: 1-2
Everton vs. Arsenal:
Arsenal have been slightly inconsistent and even though they won against Wolves they were made to work pretty hard for that. Everton, on the other hand, have made themselves tough to beat and their 94th minute equaliser against Bolton shows the
kind of determination David Moyes' men have.
It will be another test for Arsene Wenger’s side and Goodison is never an easy place to go. Fellaini’s red card means he will sit this one out, like he has done for most of this season. However, Arsenal have to be wary of the usual suspects, Yakubu and Cahill.
It promises to be a close match and we will put our money on an exciting draw.
Prediction: 2-2
Chelsea vs. Sunderland:
It’s difficult to see Chelsea dropping points to any of the lesser teams. They are missing Frank Lampard and the midfield players are starting to tire now, but they continue to grind out victories even when not playing at their peak.
Sunderland have reacted brilliantly after their hammering in the derby. They beat Stoke and then drew away at Spur. However, Chelsea at Stamford Bridge might be asking too much of these Sunderland players. Another three points are on the cards.
It might not be the easiest of rides but Chelsea are expected to overcome this challenge as well.
Prediction: 2-0
