Premier League Predictions: Match Week 20 – Part 2
There are some really interesting games in match week 20. Manchester United have to pay a tough visit to St. Andrews, while Tottenham host the unpredictable Newcastle.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 also host the inform Bolton Wanderers, so we believe that this match week has got plenty of surprises in store for us.
In part of this edition of Premier League predictions, we start off with the game at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham Hotspur vs. Newcastle United
Tottenham are the most in-form team in the league along with Manchester United having picked up 14 points out of a possible 18. Spurs showed real strength and courage to come out from Villa Park with all three points, despite going down- unfortunately- to
10 men after only half an hour.
Newcastle United would be disappointed by the way they started against Manchester City at the weekend and they need to make sure that they do not fall asleep again at the start at White Hart Lane.
In Andy Carroll, they probably have one of this season’s top performer and if he can continue his stunning form than surely they have an outside chance of upsetting Spurs.
Both teams are strong going forward but are vulnerable in defence. This game guarantees you goals and is bound to be an exciting encounter.
Prediction: 3-2
West Brom vs. Blackburn
Both teams have had somewhat of a mixed bag of a season and they are two of the five teams who are on 22 points.
West Brom did not do enough to deserve anything from their away defeat at the hands of in-form Bolton Wanderers. West Brom seemed to be coming back to their early season form with two wins but with two back-to-back defeats since then, they need to restart
and build their confidence once again.
Blackburn are looking a shadow of the team which picked up 4 wins from 5 games under Sam Allardyce earlier this season. They always looked strong at home but Sunday’s 2-0 home loss at the hands of Stoke would have dented their confidence big time.
Steve Kean has a tough job in his hands. He needs to win fans and players sooner rather than later. Another defeat will put him under enormous amount of pressure and the fans will demand for a bigger name to replace Kean- which is very much on the cards
now.
Prediction: 2-1
West Ham United vs. Everton
Avram Grant might just have done enough to save his job for another month. The away win against Fulham will have gone some way to restore the confidence amongst West Ham players and fans alike.
They played some nice football, which in truth they have been doing of late without any rewards. However, if they can keep a lid on their defensive errors then they really do stand a chance of coming away with their second win on the trot.
Everton’s game against Birmingham was called off and their players will be fresher. This could be Tim Cahill’s second last game before he joins up with his National Team, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Australia-c746. So, expect him to be raring to go. This one is a tough one to call but it
seems a draw is the most likely outcome.
Prediction: 2-2
Birmingham City vs. Manchester United
Birmingham always seem to do well at home against top oppositions. They are one of the four teams who did not play at the weekend, so they will be fresher.
On the other hand, Manchester United have started to play their best football and were extremely impressive against Sunderland on Sunday.
Luis http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394 are also expected to start. This will give United a fresher midfield.
This is a tough one to call as City are always hard to beat at home, however, such has been the form of Manchester United that it is difficult to look past anything other than a Manchester United win.
Prediction: 0-2
