Premier League Predictions: Match Week 24 – Part 1
The predictions for match week 24 of the English Premier League 2010-11 season have been hard to make especially with all the player transfers taking place.
Aston Villa have been one of the more busy teams recently. They have signed Jean Makoun and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Darren-Bent-c10358 to bolster their attack and meet Manchester City in their very first game who will give another run to their very own £27-million Bosnian striker, Edin
Dzeko.
There are some teams, including Aston Villa and Liverpool who have a game in midweek as well. So there is a chance for these teams to move up the table by winning their extra game in hand. However, most of the fixtures for all title contenders look winnable.
We start our predictions with the afternoon kick off at Molineux.
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Liverpool
Wolves have been in great form of late. They beat Liverpool at Anfield and have carried on from there by beating http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and almost nicking off a point against Manchester City recently.
Liverpool, on the other hand, have started to play a bit more expansively but without getting the required results. Kenny Dalglish is still looking for that elusive win. However, the atmosphere around the club is a lot more positive and it is only because
of the presence of the man himself.
If, however, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 are able to sign someone like Luis Suarez in the transfer window then it surely can help the club in going forward. The 2010-11 season has exposed Liverpool’s lack of quality in the squad and an overhaul is expected in the summer but
a couple of players in this window will certainly help Liverpool finish higher up the table.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 will yet again look to come and play with a positive mindset and press Liverpool higher up the pitch. So if you are superstitious then you got to back Wolves for this and judging Liverpool by their away form, it probably isn’t a bad bet.
However, it is about time Liverpool turned the corner. It will be an open game with plenty of goals.
Prediction: 2-3

Arsenal v Wigan Athletic
Wigan even surprised themselves when they took a point off Arsenal during the Christmas period. Wigan came back from 2-0 to make it 2-2 even after they had gone down to 10 men.
However, that was a weakened Arsenal side and playing at Emirates is different ball game altogether. Arsenal have played some scintillating football of late. Against West Ham and then against Leeds, they were unplayable at times.
Wigan are not one of those teams who will sit back and defend but they surely will give Arsenal’s defence something to worry about. However, for that they will need to have the ball for longer periods of game, which will not be possible with the trio of
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 and the skipper Cesc Fabregas all playing together.
Prediction: 3-0

Fulham v Stoke City
This one will be quite an evenly contested game and as Fulham have slowly but surely improved their form, a win here will give them a huge boost.
With Moussa Dembele back from injury and Bobby http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zamora-c40983 not too far to make his return, Fulham fans can see some light at the end of the tunnel.
Keeping in view Stoke’s recent performances, it is their turn to lose now. Stoke City have signed another big man, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kenwyne-Jones-c20659.
With both teams looking in decent form, Fulham might just be the slight favourites due to the home factor, but as we know that Stoke hardly give any team an easy run. Expect this one to be a physical and feisty affair which might just end in a stalemate.
Prediction: 1-1
