Premier League Preview: Newcastle vs. Liverpool
Newcastle are set to take on Liverpool, for the first time under the management of newly appointed manager, Alan Pardew.
The new manager is hoping for a major boost to his sides fitness as he is busy preparing the team for his first game in charge. Joey Barton, who was set to make his comeback this week after delaying his return from the three match ban,
might still be out of action due to his groin injury. However Kevin Nolan is set to make his comeback to the side after suffering an ankle injury which had him miss the last two games for Newcastle.
Liverpool are also looking to go into this game with the team's star striker Fernando Torres making a return. The Spanish international missed the team's last match, where Liverpool went on to score three goals past Aston Villa, due to
the fact that his second child was born the very same day. It is expected that Ryan Babel, who happened to score a goal in that game, will be making way for the striker to return. However Liverpool are still going to be without their captain Steven Gerrard,
who is set to be a week away from making a return to the side. Hence Roy Hodgson is expected to use almost the same formation as the one he used against Aston Villa.
The experts are set to be inclining for the match to end in a draw, as both the team's are currently not in top form and far from picking up a comprehensive win in the game. Newcastle are still not used to the management style of Pardew
and it will be seen in the game, if the new manager can actually bring a positive change to the team. On the other hand Liverpool are still without Steven Gerrard and without their star midfielder the team's chances of winning any game are cut down by fifty
percent.
