Premier League Preview - Nov 20th, 2010 -- Part 2
Stoke City, who slayed Liverpool last time out in the Premier League, will come up against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns in a clash of two entirely different foot balling styles. The slick passing and direct approach play by Tony Pulis’ men gave
Liverpool a torrid time last week. While Baggies also play a high tempo game but they like to keep possession of the ball and are patient with their build up play. Stoke City are on the back of two consecutive wins in the league while West Brom have been poor
in their recent games, having lost three of their last four matches. Potters hold an edge over their opponents tonight as they have won six and lost none of their last 7 games against West Brom in the league.
Wolves currently sit just a place above the foot of the table and will come up against Blackpool tonight in the English Premier League. Mick Mcarthy’s side have lost three games on the bounce and are currently level on points with the basement outfit, West
ham but Mick Mcarthy, after seeing some encouraging performance despite the losses, must feel that the turnaround of fortunes is just on the horizon. They will hold no fear going into the match against a side that just got promoted to the top division last
season. Blackpool’s biggest problem in the league this season has been their defence as they have let slip 25 goals and despite having won more than a few games, their form remains inconsistent.
The high flying Torotters will come up against Newcastle United in the league tonight at home. Bolton are currently occupying the fifth spot in the league and have surprisingly lost fewer games than Chelsea and Arsenal this season. Bolton have secured 7
out of the last 9 points and will be confident going into the match against a Newcastle side that is unpredictable at best. The Toons have been better away from home this season and will be in buoyant mood after having claimed the priced scalp of Arsenal only
recently in the league. But, they must beware of Johan Elmander’s sparkling form in the league this season as the scintillating Swede took his season’s goal tally to six with a beautiful strike in the last game. At the same time, they could be encouraged by
the fact that Elmander is yet to score at the Reebok this season.
In the two matches to be played on Sunday, Blackburn Rovers will host Aston Villa while Manchester City will travel to London to take on Fulham in the league.
Rovers suffered defeat at the hands of Spurs last time out in the league and will be looking to bounce back against the Villains on Sunday. Villa, on the other hand, are unbeaten in their last 4 games but three of those games have been stalemates. They came
close to beating Manchester United last time out and will be confident of a positive result against Sam Allardyce’s men.
Manchester City will have a tough task on their hands as they visit Craven Cottage on Sunday to pit their wits against Fulham. Despite being 4th in the table, their manager has come under severe criticism from all corners for his uber-defensive
tactics. Also, despite having a multi million pound attack, City have never been seen going for the jugular and Mancini has been happy to sit back and play on the counter. For Fulham, the match could be pivotal as Mark Hughes will come up against a club that
just sacked him over a year ago and he will have a point to prove to his ex-employers.

Arsenal v Tottenham

Blackpool v Wolves
