Premier League Round Up: Birmingham City, Blackpool and Blackburn Rovers
Birmingham City
Birmingham City’s coach Peter Grant claimed that any player who joins the side would have to get his fitness up to the mark of the other players. Despite agreeing that the side needs new talent, the trainer was adamant that Birmingham
would not change their trademark system, no matter whosoever the club signs.
"It is important new players don't upset the formula. The manager does that (checks out) every player he signs, even the likes of Alexander Hleb. You need players to open the door for you and Alex has got that in his locker,” stated
Peter Grant.
The trainer added that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robbie-Keane-c31215 would undoubtedly bring in something new and different to the club, which is exactly what the manager wants. However, someone like Keane would also have to work like the other players and Birmingham
will not change their work ethics for anyone.
Blackburn Rovers
Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-Marrow-c4782 has completed his switch to Championship side Crystal Palace for an undisclosed fee. The 20-year-old was on a loan term to Crystal Palace since the start of the current season and has now
signed a two and a half year contract with Palace. The side’s caretaker manager Dougie Freedman claimed that he was delighted with the player’s work rate and was delighted to have snapped him up.
"It is good to see him join the club permanently and I'm sure he will become an important part of our squad for some time to come," stated the caretaker manager.
Blackpool
Despite being the favourites to relegation at the start of the current season, Blackpool have started the season in emphatic fashion and currently sit three place above the relegation zone. The side, which got promotion during
their shock win in the playoffs, have managed some impressive results this season and all credit goes to manager Ian Holloway for his impressive tactics. Yet, Holloway refused to be carried away with the praise and he is well aware of the weaknesses in his
side. The manager vowed to bring in some fresh blood in his side in order to tweak some minor issues in his otherwise quality side.
The manager stated that the club chairman has a long list of potential players he wants at the club. Hopefully, some new players will be snapped up by the time the January transfer window ends.
