Premier League Round Up - Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool and Bolton Wanderers
BLACKBURN http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385
Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean has expressed his interest in signing former Manchester United midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Beckham-c10432 on a short loan. Beckham is currently tied to LA Galaxy, but has 3 months to spare. With the 35-year-old still
looking to play for the national side, Blackburn want him to come to Ewood Park and provide the youngsters with invaluable experience.
"Hopefully talks can continue and with someone like Beckham, someone will get a good player if he comes over here. And if he does come back to this country, he is someone we would be interested in," stated Steve Kean.
However, it is highly unlikely that Beckham would sign for Blackburn, as he has already confirmed his interest in playing for the all action Tottenham Hotspur.
BLACKPOOL
Blackpool coach Ian Holloway was thoroughly disappointed with the way his side defended against Manchester City this Saturday. City managed a 1-0 victory over Blackpool, thanks to a deflected http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adam-Johnson-c3537 goal. The goal could have
been easily avoided and Holloway blamed his back line for conceding the goal.
"We've gone and lost to a horrendous goal from my point of view and from my team's point of view. You win a header from a corner and it falls to someone who shoots from the edge of the area and no one blocks it. We were a bit statuesque,"
stated an angered Ian Holloway.
BOLTON WANDERERS
The Bolton Wanderers boss is all set to make Andy O’Brien’s loan deal to Leeds United permanent by the end of the current week. The 31-year-old centre back was loaned out at the end of October and since, he has made 10 league appearances
for United. The manager confirmed that such a move has just surfaced and the defender has now been allowed to talk to Leeds for a permanent transfer. Coyle added that a deal has not been confirmed yet, but something will be confirmed in the coming few weeks.
