BLACKBURN ROVERS
The highly talented former Arsenal and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Denmark-c2884 midfielder John Jensen has been confirmed as the new assistant manager at Blackburn Rovers. Jensen has signed a 6-month contract with the club and would be working with current manager Steve Kean.
"John has a wealth of experience, both here and abroad, and he is very much focused on the development of players. His views and philosophies on football dovetail with mine and he has also shown himself to be a very loyal assistant - a massively important
factor for me. I am delighted to welcome him aboard," stated the Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 management.
Jensen brings vast experience to the side, as the player has made over 400 appearances, scoring 8 times. Jensen spent 5 successful years with Arsenal and has spent time in the German League and the Danish League. Such experience would be beneficial for Blackburn,
who are currently undergoing a rebuilding process since the takeover by Indian Giants Venky’s. Although the side failed to sign the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Beckham-c10432, it shows the positive frame of mind that the club owners are in and may well go on to
become a threat, should they sign some big name players.
Blackburn make a tough trip to Stamford Bridge to face a troubled http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. The latter managed a 7-0 victory over Ipswich town in the FA Cup and would want to make quick work of Blackburn in order to get their title chase back on track.
BLACKPOOL
Blackpool loan signing Stephen Husband and Ishmel Demontagnac managed to score in the midweek fixture for Stockport County. The side played a 3-3 draw and were delighted to help out the club. Blackpool sent the players out for a one month loan deal and they
were enroute of awarding all three points to County until two brilliant goals saw Rotherham back into the match. Husband managed a 25-yard screamer while Demontagnac managed a calm finish.
Meanwhile, Blackpool managed an emphatic win over Liverpool. It was an unbelievable result for the Tangerines, who managed their first double over the Reds since 1947. Manager Ian Holloway couldn’t believe it himself and stated that had anyone before the
start of the season stated that they would be able to do the double, he would have told him to get lost. Having said so, Holloway claimed he was delighted by the performance of the team. However, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 were given a reality check with the loss and Blackpool
