a place into the 4th round and it was Sturridge’s opening goal that got things going.
Sturridge has been exceptional this season, as the player has managed to score 7 times in his five starts under Ancelotti. The Italian manager has adopted a new policy of playing more youngsters in his team in order to bridge the

but Ancelotti is likely to revert to experience. Sturridge also started the game against Tottenham reserves last Thursday and scored 5 times.
"He played well, scored, is a good player and a good striker, very dangerous. In the future, he'll have opportunities. We have a lot of games in this period coming up. I think he has to fight with the other strikers, but everyone
has to fight. There are a lot of players in competition up front," stated the Chelsea Boss.
The 7-0 win may well be the igniting factor for Chelsea to get back to their winning ways. Chelsea are facing their worst dip in form since 15 years and the side, which had a 5 points lead over their rivals at the start of the
season, has now slipped to the 5th spot. The Blues are 9 points behind leader Manchester United, who still have a game to play. However, the Ipswich win would have brought confidence to Chelsea players, which is needed to surpass tougher oppositions.
The Blackburn game will be important to test their mettle and should they manage a comfortable win, the season may yet be saved.
