Premier League Round Up: Everton – 11 January 2011
Everton midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tim-Cahill-c35085 has assured manager David Moyes that he is counting the days to return to Premier League so that he can help the Toffees for their cause.
Currently, Cahill is on international duty, playing for national side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Australia-c746 in the Asian Cup. Everton seem to be missing the services of the midfielder, who has hit prime goal scoring form this season. The player, despite being
a midfielder, has scored 9 times and is the top scorer for the Blues. Furthermore, the Australian looks to surpass his previous best goal scoring tally of 11 and David Moyes is waiting anxiously to have him back.
Cahill bagged a magnificent brace for the Socceroos in their recent 4-0 win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/India-c750 and expected his form to remain consistent for the remainder of the season.
"I want to leave this tournament the same way I came in to make sure I have every chance of finishing the season strongly. The biggest thing for me is that I have done well for Everton at the start of this season and I have come
here to make sure I keep myself fit and raring to go and play great football,” stated the midfielder.
The 31-year-old midfielder stated that he does not like warming the bench. Instead, he aims to give his all every time he is on the pitch. The player added that he wants to work hard, do something incredible for his club and country
and keep his current form going until his luck runs out.
Cahill has been the ray of hope for David Moyes, who has lost faith in his misfiring strikers. Both http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jonathan-c18993 Yakubu have failed to find the goal on a regular basis and with Cahill gone, Moyes has a real job on his
hands. The manager would be hoping to have the player fully fit as International duties usually bring injuries along with them. Should the latter happen, it would certainly dent Moyes’s plans for the current season.
