Premier League Round Up - Part 2

Heres a quick look at whats going on with the premier league clubs:
Blackpool: Rochdale born Matt Gilks has claimed that playing for Scotland had always been his first choice International team. The Blackpool shot stopper has recently made a debut into the Scotland squad for the EURO 2012 qualifiers.
Scotland take on Lithuania on Friday and then Liechtenstein on Tuesday. The goalkeeper is eligible to play for Scotland owing to his Grandmother’s roots from Perth and Gilks claimed that she was the main reason behind his Scottish spirts. The player claimed that he does feels Scottish and that Scotland has always been his first choice.
“My grandmother was born in Scotland and she was a massive influence on me growing up and within our family so I have always leaned towards Scotland, rather than England”, claimed the 28 year old.
The shot stopper added that he is a good friend of David Marshal and went up to Hampden for the game against Macedonia. The Blackpool man hailed the atmosphere of the game and said that at half time, the crowd was going crazy. Gilks was seen having coffee and listening to songs and admitted that being a part of such a team would be phenomenal. The player thus confirmed that he was grateful to be a part of the Scottish side and to be called up now is even better than expectations.
Bolton Wanderers: Bolton Wanderers have officially announced that Danny Shittu has been released from his contract. The player joined Bolton in August 2008 and has only made 12 appearances in two seasons. Shittu turns 30 on Thursday and didn’t feature in a single first team match last season. The club has thus made public that they have reached an agreement with the player over the issue, which would terminate his contract at the Reebok Stadium immediately.
Chelsea: Premier league Champions Chelsea has announced the official renewal contract signing of young defender Jeffery Bruma. The contract will now tie the full back with Chelsea till 2014, which is good news for the young player.
Bruma has been with Chelsea since he was 15 (2007) and is considered to be one of the rising talent for the Blues. The player has made only 4 substitute appearances for Chelsea but was given his Dutch debut this summer. Jeffery Bruma was very happy to stay at Stamford Bridge and hopes to keep on working towards improvements. The defender added that now that he’s made it so far, he aims to work for the next contract and keep on improving.
Bruma was extremely happy to make his international debut, which he thought came 2 to 3 years before his expectations. The player claimed that now that he has finally made it to the international team, he will aim for more and more, and will continue to work hard towards reaching his goals. For now, the 18 year old confirmed that he aims to play more and more first team action for Chelsea and get into the Dutch squad as soon as he is fit.  
Everton: Former Manchester United forward Saha, has admitted to using a peculiar alternative to recover from his prolonged knee problem. The Everton forward has affirmed that he has used “blood-sucking leeches” on his knees. The treatment is an ancient one and seems to be working for him.
The player explained that the saliva of the leeches acts as an anti-inflammatory agent and reduces the swelling. The striker has been recently called back into the International squad when France faces Belarus in Paris. The player claimed that he has been using this technique for the past 18 months and has worked to overcome his knee trouble.
While talking to the French Media, Saha claimed that when he visits his grandparents in Guadeloupe, he puts leeches on his knees. Following the leeches treatment, Saha claims that the knees swell up less and he feels absolutely fine.
