Premier League Stats and Numbers – Part 1
Bettor.com reveals some of the most interesting statistics about all Premier League sides. Enjoy the read.
Arsenal
Arsenal are the only team in the league who have picked up more points away from home than at home. (24 pts away – 19 pts home).
Their record against the bottom half teams is the best in the league but against the top half opposition, Gunners are 6th best.
In last weekend’s game against West Ham United, Cesc Fabregas had more touches of the ball then the combined touches of the entire Hammers side.
Aston Villa
Aston Villa are the worst side in the league according to the form table (last eight games considered).
Only four of their total 24 goals have been scored by strikers this season.
Villa are top of the ‘hit the woodwork’ table, with 13 strikes on to either post or the crossbar.
Birmingham City
Last season Birmingham had 21 goals at this time of the season which is the same this year as well. However, they have 10 fewer points this time around.
None of the Birmingham strikers have managed to put their name on the score sheet in the last 9 league games.
Matt Derbyshire, who played as a lone man up front, completed only 5 passes out of a total of 9 during his 84 minutes on the pitch.

Blackburn doesn’t seem to do well against top half oppositions as they have lost their last 6 games against top half opponents.
Blackburn are the only side left in the league yet to pick up a single point from a losing position.
Blackburn failed to hit the target against Chelsea after the 34th minute mark.
Blackpool
Blackpool’s 17 goals in 13 away games is exactly the same as last year in the championship.
Blackpool had only 2 shots on target at the Hawthorns and they scored from one of them.
Charlie Adam has picked up more Bonus Points in the Fantasy premier League than anyone else in the league. However, he hasn’t had a goal or an assist in Seasiders' last four games.
Bolton Wanderers
Bolton have lost five consecutive away games this season, only Liverpool have been able to match that.
Bolton have been poor of late and they lie 2nd from bottom of the form table (last eight games are considered).

Everton

Jermaine Beckford scored only his 3rd goal of the season and is now joint second with Coleman and Arteta in Everton’s top goal scorer’s chart.
Coleman only attempted 12 passes throughout his 90 minutes against Liverpool on Sunday.
Fulham
Andrew Johnson scored his first Premier League goal in 25 league matches this weekend against Wigan.
Fulham have scored 5 goals in the last 5 minutes this season, which have earned them 6 crucial points.
Fulham’s midfielders had a pass ratio of more than 80% against Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
Liverpool

Liverpool have thrown away a massive 17 points from winning positions this season. No other team comes even close to them.
