Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby recently revealed he would prefer to play for either of the La Liga giants, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38605 or Real Madrid, in the near future. The French international spoke ahead of the highly awaited Champions League clash against Barcelona, confessing
he would want a move to the Nou Camp. He said while speaking to reporters, “At some point I would like to play for Barcelona or Real Madrid, but I would prefer to play for Barca, because I prefer their style.” This makes Diaby the second Arsenal player wishing
for a move to Spain, with captain Cesc Fabregas being the first to express his desire for a move away.
Manchester United resume interest in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ashley-Young-c6813
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly renewed his interest in Ashley Young, the Aston Villa winger. The English Premier League leaders are determined to land the 26-year-old England international during the summer transfer window after
failing to land him during the January transfer window. Sources reveal that Villa rejected an offer worth £15 million for the player last month. However, a statement by Ferguson confirmed his side would resume their efforts in trying to sign Young in the summer.
He said while speaking to reporters, “We had an interest in one player and I thought we had a chance of bringing him in, but the other parties involved were not ready and so we have put it away until the summer.”
Newcastle eye Connor Wickham
After the departure of their star striker Andy Carroll during the January transfer window to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, Newcastle United are determined to land Ipswich Town forward Connor Wickham. Carroll’s £35 million move on the deadline day of the winter transfer window
to Anfield has left the Magpies without a reliable forward and it could potentially ruin their season. However, they are determined to bring in Wickham at the end of the season in hopes of rebuilding their side.
The 17-year-old Wickham is being kept an eye on by London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham, with Newcastle being the latest side to join the race for the young striker. The young Englishman has some impressive qualities; pace, an eye for goal and the ability
to read the game. He displayed those brilliantly against Sheffield United in a recent Championship fixture with a goal. If he keeps up his form, it won’t be long before the youngster finds himself in the upper tier of English football.
