Premier League Update: Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti plans to stick around
Chelsea manager, Carlo Ancelotti has gone on to state that he strongly believes he will be the manager of the Blues this coming season. Following a trophy-less season at the Stamford Bridge, it was assumed that the Italian manager would be on his way out
of the club. However, should he have his way, that won’t be the case.
This past weekend, Chelsea went on to concede a last minute goal against Newcastle United, which saw the two teams end the match with the score-line reading two all. Prior to the game, it was believed that it would be the manager’s last game in-charge of
the Blues at Stamford Bridge.
However, the manager has now gone on to insist that he would still be around this coming season and that the ultimate decision to part ways with the club would be his choice and not anyone else’s.
When talking about his future at the club, following the draw to Newcastle, the manager is quoted to have said: “Everyone can give their opinion about this and my job here, [but] it is the club that has to make the decision about my job.
“Sometimes I did a good job, sometimes I did better. I think I will be here next season.”
According to the experts, the chances of the manager sticking around for at least another season are quite high at the moment. There are numerous reasons for that, which include the fact that there just aren’t a lot of competent managers available out there
who would be willing to take the job and on the other hand, the fans of the club love Ancelotti.
The Italian has helped http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 develop a sense of flair to their style of play and it has often been a sight for sore eyes to watch the Blues play this season. At the same time, with the club investing massive funds into the team, they expect to win at least
one trophy every season. Now, with that not being the case, there is still a major shadow of a doubt that Roman Abramovich might just decide to part ways with Ancelotti altogether, for this very reason.
At the moment, it is quite unsure as to what the future holds for Ancelotti at Stamford Bridge, but what can be said assuredly, is that the manager wants to stick around with the Blues for as long as he possibly can.
