Premier League Update: Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov commits future to Old Trafford
Manchester United’s Bulgarian goal scoring machine, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254 has gone on to reveal that he has no interest in walking away from Old Trafford.
The striker, despite spending most of the latter part of the season on the bench, went on finish as the joint top scorer in the Premier League rankings, along with Manchester City’s Argentine http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez.
Nonetheless, despite achieving that feat, the thirty year old forward was being hailed as one of the early favourites to be on his way once the transfer window opened.
However, it now seems like the striker has been made aware of these rumours, to which he responded by stating: "I have a contract for one more year and I will go nowhere"
"Now I am part of United's 19th title and I want to be part of the 20th, that's my plan.
"I am the happiest man in the team because I'm a champion and top goalscorer in the league.
"To win 19 titles is a fantastic achievement."
The striker seems to have already set his sights on more silverware in the near future and when talking about the Red Devils upcoming game against Spanish giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, is quoted to have said: "I expect to win against Barcelona. Everybody thinks the Spaniards
are favourites but nobody knows who will win."
From the looks of things, Berbatov seems to be glued down to Old Trafford. When the player was spotted sulking in the benches for the last four months, almost everyone including some of the insiders at the club, believed that he was going to be on his way.
However, it seems like the Bulgarian just isn’t ready to part ways with United.
It would be impossible not to state, that the striker’s goals this season have played a crucial part in helping United land their record breaking, nineteenth league title. At the same time, the team seems to be ready to put their faith in the younger talents
at the club, rather than keep asking the rapidly aging striker to do all the dirty work for them.
With the season now having ended, the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tom-c35214 Cleverly are all set to make their returns to Old Trafford, from their various loan moves. While, Javier Hernandez has proven that he is without a doubt going to be the
prime striker at the club.
This means that even if Berbatov does stay at the club, he is going to spend more than ample time on the benches once again.
Nonetheless, with the player having already made his mind up, it seems that he would much rather do that, than play regular football, week in and week out.
