Premier League gossip: Barca want Rooney, Fabiano to Tottenham
Wayne Ronney has found himself being linked to a move to Spain, once again. This time around however the team that is rumored to be interested in signing the player is, Barcelona.
According to the Sunday Mirror: 'Barcelona are ready to offer Wayne Rooney an escape route from Manchester United.'
'The Spanish champions believe the 24 year-old striker is struggling to cope with the increasing public scrutiny he is facing.'
The move or an offer for the player might be made official as early as January, according to a source at the reigning Spanish Champions: "Rooney's position is worth monitoring if things become increasingly difficult for him in England.

"There is no move imminent but, if his problems increase, and he looks to get away from England, we'd certainly make our interest known."'

This rumor, is one of the most outrageous that has been brought to light, ever since the transfer window closed earlier this summer. However it is rumors like these that usually tend to materialize themselves, so we will just have to wait and see what happens
in the future.
Tottenham are looking to rekindle their interest in signing Brazilian forward, Luis Fabiano. The team had been in hot pursuit to sign the player, in the summer, but all the team's efforts ended up falling short of the mark.
The striker went on to sign a new contract with Sevilla, which would see him stay at the club till 2013/ However the player has so far managed to play only twenty minutes or so for the team. This has infuriated the player and his
manager.
Fabiano's manager was reported to have said:

"The situation is unpleasant. Luis Fabiano does not understand and neither do we. I don't understand Sevilla's decision to give him a new deal until 2013 and then leave him on the bench.

"He is Brazil's No.9 and has scored 95 goals for Sevilla, and that merits respect. If it doesn't change then we are obliged to seek a move."
Sevilla on the other hand, claim that the reason why Fabiano is being kept on the sidelines, is due to the players lack of fitness. Apparently while the player was away on intentional duty, He didn't get the right amount of physical
exercise that is required, to keep a player fit and in shape. This is by far one of the weirdest excuses that the team could have come up with to explain their actions, but with that being said, if they don't manage to incorporate Fabiano, a whole lot more
in their matches by January, the player will almost definitely be on a move to London.
