Premier League news: Roberto Mancini urges Manchester City owners to spend till they win the Premier League
Manchester City’s Italian manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini has gone on to urge the City owners to keep spending, till they win the Premier League. The manager feels that the only way to take over United in the league, is if they spend big almost every transfer window.
City managed to finish the current Premier League season in the third spot and also managed to end their 30+ year trophy drought, by landing the FA Cup to their trophy cabinet. At the moment, due to their unexpectedly high finish, the team is set to automatically
qualify for the Champions League, this coming season.
However, this new found success for City can be attributed to the massive funds that have been invested in the team, by the clubs owners. At the moment, the teams owners have gone on to spend around four hundred million pounds in the club, since taking over
in 2008. However, it was being made clear that they would be looking to be rather less explosive in the transfer market this time around.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 on the other hand, has gone on to state that in order for City to take it to the next level, they are going to have to invest big in the club, once again.
When talking about his ideas, the manager is reported to have said: "We want to buy more players to improve because we need them”

“If you look at last year, we were fifth. This year we have bought good players, we are third and we have won the FA Cup.”

“You can spend a lot of money, but you are not sure to win. But if you don’t spend, you won’t win.”

“If you can buy good players and work hard, you can win."

However, when the manager was asked a parting question, which asked him if his City could win the Premier League trophy next season or not, the manager responded by stating: “It’s possible we can challenge for the title. Why not?”
It seems to have been made apparent that the City way, is now also the Mancini way. The manager seems to have lost the ability to build a team and now looks to win big, by spending big. Some might argue that there is no problem in doing that, as long as
the team can afford it. However, on the other hand some might find this as a sick excuse for a manager, who has lost his way, to try and save his career.
Nonetheless, what can be said assuredly, is that the City fans won’t be complaining as long at City keep on winning.
