Premier League news update: Liverpool to confirm Kenny Dalglish as permanent manager within ten days
It is being reported that Liverpool F.C. are finally set to confirm Kenny Dalglish as their long term manager, within the next ten days. The manager who has managed to secure ten wins, out of the twenty one matches that he has been in charge of the club, looks to be the ideal man to guide http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 back to their former glory.
It was previously believed that the clubs owners weren’t very convinced with the manager’s capabilities. However, it now appears that they are willing to bestow their trust in Dalglish and will also be willing to award him a handsome transfer kitty, with which to go shopping in the summers.
At the moment, it is being stated that Liverpool will confirm Dalglish’s stay, prior to the last game of the season for the Reds. Liverpool are set to see out the season at Villa Park, when they take on Aston Villa in the Premier League.
Prior to Dalglish being appointed as manager of the club, Liverpool’s owners went on to part ways with Rafa Benitez and brought in Roy Hodgson to replace the Spaniard. However, that change in management didn’t go according to plan, as Liverpool were barely hovering over the drop zone at the start of the season.
Nonetheless, at the turn of the year Dalglish was brought in to the club, in order for the team to have some sort of a caretaker manager till the season came to an end. However, what happened next shocked almost everyone in the footballing world.
Dalglish took the misfiring, underperforming Reds and transformed them back into a team that almost everyone feared to face. Just three months after being in-charge of the team, Dalglish took Liverpool from being near the drop zone, to contesting for a spot in Europe.
As a result, it was strongly believed that this caretaker manager was just the man that the Reds needed to guide them back to their winning ways.
Dalglish’s signing on for the next couple of seasons, was almost a sure shot, but there were strong rumours floating about, that stated the manager and the owners of the club were not agreeing on mutual grounds, for a number of reasons. Those reasons varied from clubs transfers, to player wages, to the squad selection for matches.
However, it now appears as though any and all sorts of disagreements have been sorted out between the owners and the manager.
