Premier League players who are a little too good for their teams
The Premier League plays host to some of the best teams in the world. However what really makes the teams as good as they really are, are the players that build the team. Nonetheless on numerous occasions, some of the players on a team tend to become a little
too big for the team that they play for. This could be because of the fact that they are a little too talented for their club, or because they have untapped potential. Here is a look at some of those players:
Darren Bent ( Sunderland )
Darren Bent made his move to Sunderland after falling out of favour at Tottenham. The player suffered a little too many injury worries at the White Hart Lane and as a result was allowed to leave for Sunderland at a cut price, in hopes of pursuing first team
football. However once the deal was done and Bent managed to recover from his injuries, Tottenham realized that they had quite possibly made one of the biggest mistakes of their existence.
Ever since his arrival at Sunderlan,d Bent has come into his own. The player has managed to become one of the leading goal scorers in the league despite playing for Sunderland. Every time the Black Cats take the field it is almost certain that the player
will go on to score a goal or two. As a result many experts have gone ahead and stated that the player has grown a little too big for his club and needs to potentially move away from the team at the first opportunity that presents itself to him.
Carlos Tevez ( Manchester City )
Carlos Tevez made his debut in the Premier League with West Ham United. The player came into the club all the way from Boca Juniors who play in Argentina and spent almost no time to adjusting to the style of play in the league. In fact the season that he
joined the team, they were favoured for relegation. However some tremendous performances later thanks to Tevez the team stayed afloat.
Tevez then went on to join Manchester United, where he continued his sublime form and managed to stay on top of things. However when the time came for United to seal the deal on the player they hesitated and as a result the player joined Manchester City.
Despite being surrounded by some of the best players in the world, Tevez has really proven to be the cutting edge at the Eastlands. In fact it was his individual brilliance that helped City beat Chelsea earlier on in the season when they were on top form.
Despite City being as big of a club as they are, one starts to wonder if it really is big enough for the likes of Tevez. Tevez has often felt out of place at the team and tends to be the only player on the team who doesn’t have some sort of ego problem.
As a result the player went on to disclose that he has grown infuriated at some of the players who play alongside him at the club and as a result he is considering quitting football altogether.
According to most experts Tevez should opt for a move out of the league and the best possible destination for the player would be Barcelona or Real Madrid.
