Premier League preview: Bolton Wanderers vs. Blackburn Rovers
Seventh place Bolton are looking to ready themselves as they are prepare to welcome thirteenth placed Blackburn at the Reebok Stadium, in what is set to be both the team's scheduled match in the Barclay's Premier League.
Bolton are in doubt to have their full team for the match as their midfielder Stuart Holden is still not a hundred percent for the game. The United States international is trying to shake off a thigh strain that he picked up and has managed to miss the team’s
last two matches because of the very same reason as well. On the other hand Matt Taylor will be hoping for a spot in the starting eleven prior at the kick off, willing to prove and become the player who will get Bolton back to their winning ways after the
team suffered a narrow loss, by one goal to nil against Manchester City last weekend.
On the other end of things, Marton Olsson and Nikola Kalinic are both set to back in contention for a spot on the squad list for Blackburn. However three of the teams players, Steven Nzonzi, Vince Grella and Keith Andrews are still sidelined due to their
hamstring, Achilles and groin injuries respectively. However despite losing to Wolves last time around, Sam Allardyce is reported to not make too many changes to his side for the game.
According to most experts Bolton are set to be the firm favourites in the game therefore expectedly they will pick up the three points. This is because the team are currently in far better form than Blackburn and also have the advantage of playing at home.
However if Bolton are to pick up the three points, then they will need their star striker Johan Elmander to provide the goals up front for the team. Nonetheless Blackburn still have an outside chance of picking up one point in the match, but will require the
likes of Morten Gamst Pedersen to provide the inspiration to do so.
All in all the match is guaranteed to be one lined by a handful of goals, with both the teams possessing a far better offensive line-up when compared to their defence.
