Premier League round up: Manchester City and Newcastle United, Jan 12th, 2011
Manchester City
Manchester City midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Johnson-c25313 finally got some football minutes, when he played 45 minutes of a 4-0 victory over Rochdale. Johnson is currently on the road of recovery from his lengthy spell on the sidelines. However, Johnson didn’t seem rusty
and looked promising every time he had possession. His passing range was tremendous in the fixture but it were goals from youngsters http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-Nimely-c4787, Abdi Ibrahim and John Giudetti that settled the match for them.
Despite having undeniable talent, Johnson’s inclusion in the first team is highly unlikely. With players like Nigel Di Jong, Yaya Toure and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/James-Milner-c17706 in the side, Johnson may well be off-loaded in the summer. City has become overcrowded owing to the signing
of many high profile players and Johnson doesn’t have much of a chance of getting into the first team. It would take a man of the match performance from him to get the manager thinking of getting him back into the ranks.
Newcastle United
Newcastle United defender Tamas Kadar has moved to Championship side Huddersfield Town on a one-month loan deal. Kadar has joined the side to act as a cover for veteran Gary Naysmith, who faces a long injury layoff.
Kadar has managed to make just two first team appearances for Newcastle United, which includes the 4-3 win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in the Carling Cup. The player was also on the bench for Newcastle’s embarrassing 2-0 loss to Stevenge Borough.
Huddersfield coach http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lee-c21860 Clark was delighted to have the youngster in his ranks and claimed that the player has a big role to play in the coming few weeks.
“He comes here having played in the Premier League and he is an international footballer, having gained his first cap for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hungary-c2920 at just 20 years of age. I was still at Newcastle when he signed as a youngster and I worked with him there, so we know what
we are getting," stated the coach. Tamas Kadar joined Newcastle United from his home town club Zalaegerszeg and has managed some fine performances for the Magpies.
