It is being reported that Manchester United are the latest team to show an interest in making a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze, after Arsenal were linked with the midfielder previously.
The nineteen year old German has been turning heads due to his outstanding performances for Dortmund all season long. At the same time, the teenager is expected to be a part of the German side that participates in the Euro 2012.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 were previously looking to make a move for the midfielder, but after the player claimed that he wouldn’t want to move out of Dortmund just yet, they went on to withdraw their immediate interest in the player.
However, it has now been confirmed that Manchester United had also been working in the shadows, in order to try and secure a transfer for the midfielder.
Gotze’s representative, when talking about the contact from United and the interest in the player is quoted to have said: "I think in Europe all the top clubs are interested in Mario"

"I can confirm that I have had contact with Juventus and Manchester United, but not only them."
Despite all this interest from the top European teams around, it seems like the biggest challange that they are going to have, is to agree on a transfer price for the midfielder.
At the moment, it seems like Dortmund are demanding a fee of around thirty million pounds and this price tag is going to result in a number of teams turning away and trying to find other alternatives.
When talking about the midfielder’s transfer price, his representative went on to add: "I don't know if he'll go away after this season, you should ask Borussia. But I think that they will not let him leave for less than £33 million.”
Nonetheless, with United currently in desperate need to reinforce their midfield and with the club having ample cash to spend in the transfer window, they could still be amongst the few teams who can make a move for the midfielder.
It is now going to be a wait till the end of the season to see just what team ends up making a formal offer for the German international and whether he ends up leaving Dortmund or not.
