The Manchester United manager claims that there could still be some twists and turns in the title race despite his side’s five point lead at the top.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini’s Manchester City piled the pressure on their rivals after a convincing 6-1 win over Norwich City on Saturday.
United on the other hand faced Aston Villa at home on Sunday and needed a win to maintain their healthy lead at the top. The Red Devils made short work of the Lions and quickly had their noses in front through Wayne Rooney’s controversial penalty.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nani-c27299 sealed the win with a strike a piece.
With the Reds securing the three points, they maintained a five-point deficit at the summit of the table and are now well on course to securing yet another Premier League trophy.
However their ‘Noisy Neighbours’ are the last hurdle preventing them from glory and the crunch tie at the Etihad Stadium could prove to be a major factor in determining in which half of Manchester the celebrations are in.
United, though, aren’t taking anything for granted and Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson reiterated that there could still be some surprises in store till the end of the season.
"There could be twists and turns yet but the name of the game is to enjoy ourselves, play with the expression we did in this game and hopefully we will be alright. You can never be too confident. My experience tells me there is always something that is going
to bite you on the bum. Hopefully we can avoid that, the name of the game is not dropping any more points.”
"It's one game less. That is what I take out of the game. We've won our game with a good performance which is good at this time of the year. The players accepted the fact we lost the game on Wednesday and did something about it. There was no panic,” he said.
After comfortably seeing off Aston Villa, United now face http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 on the 22nd of April.
