Premier league Round Up - Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool
Blackburn Rovers
Following the shock dismissal of Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce, the owners of Blackburn Rovers seem to have set their eyes on who would succeed Big Sam. The owners have made their intensions known on who they want, as they stated they want a more entertaining
team, with a finish in the top five. Also, the owners are adamant on bringing in a British manager, which rules out the likes of Martin Jol, Sven-Goran Eriksson and Diego Maradona, who have all been linked towards a possible move.
"We want good football and Blackburn to be fourth or fifth in the league or even better. The fans should trust us because this is in the best interests of the club. Our thinking now is that it will be a British manager. But we are open if there is an outstanding
candidate, someone who would be really, really good for the club,” stated the Blackburn Owner.
Blackpool
Newly signed Blackpool striker DJ Campbell is proud of being part of Blackpool side and stated that his side is moving in the right direction. It was Campbell’s winner against Stoke City, which led to Blackpool securing a mid-table spot in the premier league
and was happy to be helping out the team. The player stated that his side was positive and that is exactly what Ian Holloway expects from them. Campbell added that for Blackpool to be able to travel to Stoke City and get all three points is a good feat and
there aren’t many who can pull that off. The side now host Tottenham Hotspurs in the league, who are in red hot form. Spurs are just 4 points behind Chelsea and would be looking to extract revenge following their frustrating draw at White Hart Lane against
Chelsea.
