Premier league news: Blackpool, Bolton Wanderers, Chelsea, Fulham
BLACKPOOL
Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has talked down his interest in claiming the England job, following Fabio Capello’s retirement as the Three Lions boss after 2012 European Championship. "I'm not even interested in the England job. I like working with people
every day. If Harry Redknapp wants it, give it to him. I'm appreciative of the job here and the trust given me. I'm trying to improve and will with every game”, claimed the Blackpool manager.
BOLTON WANDERERS
Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has asserted that he may never have left the now relegated Burnley had his decision been based on total emotion. The manager was the man behind Burnley’s promotion into the premier league last season, but chose to leave the club
to take over at Bolton. Coyle stated that had it been owing to just emotion, he would never have left Burnley. However, Coyle stated that looking at the bigger picture, he took such a decision owing to the infrastructure and other opportunities which only
Bolton provided. A former player at Bolton, Coyle claimed that he was well aware of what went around at his former club and was aware of the entire heritage of the club.
“Was it emotional leaving? Absolutely. Will it be emotional tomorrow night? Of course it will. I wouldn't be evasive or try to get away from that. But regardless of how I'm treated tomorrow night or the reception that I get, nothing will ever take away from
the feeling I have for Burnley Football Club. It goes without saying", claimed the 44-year old manager.
CHELSEA
Former AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has made his intentions clear regarding his plans to fully utilize the depth in the Chelsea side in the Carling Cup. Ancelotti has named only a 18-man squad in the Premier league owing to only 5 home grown players in
the side and would want the side’s young blood to step up and replace the now aging Chelsea side. The Italian stated that Chelsea would need to utilize all of their players and owing to the strength of the team, they can rotate the squad in order to offer
something different to the overall squad. Ancelotti pointed out that this season “Chelsea looks to adapt to any game in order display the true strength over their opponents".
EVERTON
Everton are in loads of trouble this season, owing to their embarrassing form in the Premier League. Everton has managed only two points from their 5 games thus far, from a possible 15. The side managed to succumb to another defeat at the hands of Newcastle
United, and manager David Moyes blamed the entire team for their embarrassment at Goodison Park. The manager refused to blame any one player for the defeat and claimed that it was owing to malfunction of the entire team that led to such results. Moyes added
that many of Everton’s quality players failed to perform and it as a team thing rather than an individual one from the opening whistle to the final one. Everton has managed only two draws thus far and have lost three times so far in the Premier League.
FULHAM
Fulham’s weekend draw against Blackburn Rovers was the side’s first match without injured hit man, Bobby Zamora, and manager, Mark Hughes, has faith in his side that they managed without the English International. Zamora has been ruled out for at least four
months due to injury and the manager stated that even though Zamora’s services would be greatly missed, the team would still thrive. Zamora was the team’s bread and butter and the quality the player possessed was truly remarkable. Hughes pointed out that Zamora
may well be out of action for 5 months and the side would have to move on from him and utilize other players in the camp.
“I've got good players that can come in and make an impact for us. We can't look at players that aren't here - we've got to look at the ones we have and make sure they have an impact and I think they did on Saturday against Blackburn", explained former City
manager Mark Hughes.
