Premier League News: England

Here are a few news updates from the world of the premier league in England.
Arsenal: Arsenal striker Nacer Barazite has agreed to join his hometown club Vitesse Arnhem on a season loan term. The Dutch, who made three important appearances for Arsenal in the Carling Cup, was injured for the most of last season. The 20 year old spent the whole of 08/09 season on loan at Derby County. Barazite is currently recovering from a shoulder concern.
Aston Villa: Caretaker manager Kevin MacDonald has officially put forward his name as a potential replacement for former manager Martin O’Neill. O’Neill resigned from the manager post just 5 days prior to the start of the new campaign. MacDonald claimed that “I'd like to think that I actually think about all things, whether it is football or anything. I was not naive in thinking this was going to be an easy decision to make.”
Kevin went on claiming that he is well aware of how big the decision is but hailed the staff at Villa. MacDonald added that the staff has been very supportive of him and are keen to keep him at Villa. MacDonald has gotten a go ahead from his family and others and all of them stated that its his decision to make.
Birmingham City: Former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Alexander Hleb has stated that his ambition to play in the premier league was the major reason behind him agreeing for a loan deal with Birmingham City. The player claimed that he has been well acquainted with English football while playing for Arsenal and labeled this move as being perfect. Hleb claimed the premier league to be the most entertaining one on earth.
The midfielder stated that Birmingham was a stable club and the manager was a great professional. Hleb explained that although they are nothing like his previous club Arsenal, (who feature in the Champions league every season) for him its important to make more appearances and return to his full form. The player concluded his statement by claiming that the previous year and a half hasn’t been what he would have wished for and at Birmingham it is time for him to prove himself.
Hleb has had a troubled career since leaving Arsenal in 2008. Barcelona didn’t have plans for him and spent the last season playing for Stuttgart. This season, he has again been loaned out and would now be looking to prove his original employers his value or go for a transfer altogether.
Blackburn Rovers: Blackburn Rovers have rejected claims regarding their failure to bring in Bulgarian striker Ivelin Popov. Reports suggest that Popov was rejected a work permit in UK and that was the major reason behind the fall out. The 22 year old gave a trial at Ewood Park last month but the club claims that the Bulgarian would only have been signed had Jason Roberts agreed to move some place else. Ivelin has scored three goals in 15 caps for his national side since 2007 and is expected to feature against England in the Euro 2012 qualifiers on Friday.
Blackpool: Newly promoted premier league side Blackpool have officially announced the signing of Australian David Carney. The player join the club from Dutch Champions FC Twente. The midfielder reportedly signed a one year deal, with the option of another one at the end of next season. Carney joined Twente last season from Championship side Sheffield United but has struggled to find form in Holland. Carney, who spent his youth career in Everton, has the ability to play on either wing but features specially on the left flank. David could only manage 8 substitute appearances with the Dutch Champions last season, as former England coach Steve McClaren led the side to their first ever Eredivisie title.
