Question:

Premium bonds?

Hi all, I have quite a few premium bonds - do you think they are worth it? I work out my total winnings every month (based on proper calculations) and it seems to be that if you save the money in a bank account you'd get more in interest - even with a very conservative rate of interest!!! Do you think they are worth it?????? Seem to get very few winnings - or maybe its just me! Thx in advance!

  1. Whatever you try you have to be lucky ,,i had one thousand in it for a year nothing,,now ive invested in bank, and will get interest,,for sure once per year,,,

  2. Listened to the money guru on this exact point and he maintains that if you in vest approx £15,000 into premium bonds or the bank the annual return will be about the same. In the end it is a matter of choice. However it also depends on the rate of tax you pay !

  3. Premium bonds are a better bet than the lottery and you dont loose your stake

  4. it depends on how much premium bonds you have obviously the more the better chance you have of wining ive just recently bought bonds and have already won £50 so i think its worth it i mean how often do you win money from a bank balance

  5. Generally speaking they may pay slightly less than other savings accounts but there is always the chance of a big win.

    I keep hoping!
