I really don't get it....

half of the community is telling premos (and everyone else)

that it's ok to dress how you want to (witch i agree with),

but the other half is calling everyone posers!

People won't want to do a thing different if they're going to be called posers, so please, will both sides of this EXPLAIN their reasons...

  1. I don't even know what Premo is but I'm assuming that it's just another trend/fashion statement. No matter what you label yourself, or not, people will have an opinion about it. No matter how you dress and/or act people will have opinions about it. It's life. I remember my punk friends arguing about who was right and who was "posing" back in the 70's. In the 80's the same discussion was about black metal fans. In the 90's grunge and goth... In every group there has been the same kind of discussion, I'm sure of that, I'm just mentioning those I personally came in touch with. What you are asking about is the same old story with a different name it seems.

If you look at it at a bigger scale you'll see that people in general sort and label things by stereotypes since it makes the thought process easier. (It takes too much time to properly label everything that we see and hear.) While labeling others we also sort them into "us" and "them". An instinct that is needed in time of danger when we want "us" to stick together and defend ourselves from "them". That's not needed most of the time in the western world today, war in our countries are rare. As always when humans have to little to do with their time they create things to do. Making "us" against "them" apply to things in society that really doesn't matter is one way. If it's not one group against the other then it's parts of groups against each other, anything will do.

Half of the group you mention says that it's OK to be an individual and dress as you please, the other half has another opinion on how to label people and by that they create the "us" against "them" that they seemingly need to be able to exist.

Some of us don't care about labels and what others label us. The word "poser" doesn't mean a thing when you don't care about labels and you are free to go on being an individual.
