Premysl Vorac topples Miroslav Haring in Men’s Singles qualification round of 2012 Slovak Open
Men’s Singles expert Premysl Vorac of the Czech Republic raised his chances to secure a berth in main draw of the Victor Slovak Open as he confounded Miroslav Haring in the qualification round on September 6, 2012.
This was the opening match for both shuttlers and they challenged each other for 30 minutes before wrapping up the showdown with 21-17 and 21-14.
The Czech campaigner performed exceptionally well and alarmed all the contenders by sealing a straight-set victory.
Meanwhile, the local shuttler could not live up to the expectations of his supporters and crashed out of the home event in a shameful manner.
Things went out of his control when he failed to withstand an intensive attack of the opposing shuttler in the first set.
Miroslav looked really confused as he dropped many valuable points and allowed his challenger to gain an early advantage.
Premysl Vorac did not squander this opportunity and established an unassailable lead which ultimately turned into a splendid win.
He enthralled his competitor with a fine blend of power packed smashes and masterly crafted drop net shots.
At half time, Premysl was dominating with an impressive total of 11 but then a few back-to-back mistakes brought him down.
The Slovakian shuttler showed some spark and dazzled his opponent with some productive rallies. He narrowed the gap in third quarter of the set and put his challenger under huge pressure.
However, Premysl did not lose his nerve in the pressure situation and stole this segment of the show with 21-17 score on the board.
Next game completely belonged to the Czech contender as he showed consistency in his performance and cruised to victory.
This time Premysl did not wait for the right moment and played with an authoritative approach. He confined Miroslav in the rear court with a flurry of power packed strokes.
In the beginning, the local shuttler stood tall by putting some resistance but he could not break his limits in later part of the game.
The opposing shuttler showed elevated craft and locked the honour by registering a favourable margin of 21-14.
Now Premysl will test his skills against the Ukrainian player Kyryll Nesterenko in second stage of the qualification round.
