Prenatal vitamins and multi vitamins

me and my husband are going to try and get pregnant in december. but i know i read ur supposed to take vitamins before u try that way ur body is prepared...well i take womens vitamins

they have folic acid and all the other vitamins so can i just continue to take that for now til i do get preg and then take prenatal or does it matter?

also are all prenatal vitamins the same?

  2. Not all prenatals are the same, but the important thing is that you're getting folic acid.

    I tried for 3 years and in the last year or so got an RX for a prenatal called Duet DHA. It has a multi vitamin in it, with folic acid, but it also comes with a DHA pill that has the omega 3's and essential fatty acids that are so good for the development of baby's brain and everything. . .not to mention, really good for you!

    It is great that you're taking your women's vitamins now (o:,  but maybe ask your doctor if you should start a prenatal soon.
