Question:

Prepaid Visa Card?

I went to CVS the other day and I saw a Visa gift card with $20 already loaded. I was wondering if this card was the type of card where you buy it there and when it runs out, you can't recharge it and there is no age limit. Also, do I need to have a parent or guardian present with me to buy it or can I purchase it myself?

  1. Usually any gift card has a preset amount on it,but it is not fully loaded until you pay the cashier the amount that is on the card.

If it shows 20.00 or whatever amount on it you have to give the cashier the dollar amount and then you can use it for whatever you like. Some gift cards can be recharged and I think some cannot. Also some gift cards do not show a dollar amount on the front but you still have to give the cashier money for it before it can be activated and used by someone.
