Preparations for a typhoon/hurricane?

in the united states, as i have watched on the news, usually prepares for a hurricane by leaving their home, evacuating by driving to other places, having curfews etc.. but in other countries, the philippines for example, do not evacuate...they just stay in their houses...there are no curfews... if they evacuate, its probably just in a nearby school..

so why is it like that? an also, when hurricane katrina battered louisiana, the houses are destroyed, but when typhoon xangsane(about the same strength) passed manila, philippines, the houses are still standing, most of them not destroyed?

  1. The United States has stricter policies for Hurricanes. They want to keep people safe. As for us, for ex. i live on the bay in Corpus Christi Tex. if the hurricane turns this way, mandatory evacuations wil happen to me. meaning. i have no choice

  2. Not all the houses were destroyed! Louisiana is still here and kicking ***! Why does everyone think this way about La. Im sitting here typing on my computer in baton rouge! waiting on the lights to go out so i can drink momosas. My moms next door making shrimp and crab stew before the lights go out The people who needed to leave did, but thats just south to us, and mostly because of flooding. The rest of the country needs to have more faith in us! We got this!

Its almost like ya'll want to see destruction here! Like ya'll are going to be disappointed if the same **** doesnt happen again! Glad we can entertain you!

  3. the other countries dont no what they are and how bad the can be
