  1. Measure out the water (use boiled/bottled water) then add as many scoops of formula as it says for that amount of water.  I just get hot water running then set the bottle in a cup and let it sit in the water until lukewarm. You can also use room temp. water. Test formula on your wrist (most sensitive spot) to make sure its not too hot for baby.

  2. If you are are preparing a bottle for a baby under 6 months old, you should be boiling the water first in a stainless steel pot. You have to let it cool to room temperature before using it. If you need water right away and haven't boiled it, then use brita. The instructions are on the formula. I don't know if every kind is the same, but the one I use is one scoop of formula per 2 oz of water. Get a bowl or large cup, put hot water in it, and put the bottle in for only a few minutes. Check to make sure it doesn't get too hot.

  3. I always used bottled water.  measure the formula first, pour in the bottled water, shake and heat if desired (mine liked it cold).  Fill a cup with hot water or hold the bottle under hot water for a few minutes...keep shaking it so the heat gets distributed evenly.  Always test it on your wrist before giving to baby; it should be room temp to pleasently warm.

  4. I have never used tap water to prepare  a babys bottle. I always boiled all bottles nipples and rings and lids. I even boiled the water that goes in them. That way i know its clean and safe for my baby. I would just make up water bottles and add the powder formula when needed. As for warming i would get one out before i knew she would be hungry so that the water would be at least room temp then i would run under hot water for just a few minutes then add the powder.

  5. I fill the bottles with room temp. water like the other user said and when I think the baby will be hungry in the next 2 hours I go ahead and add the fortmula as the formula is good for 2 hours if the baby hasn't drank from it and once they start drinking it it is good for one hour.  I use the playtex drop ins and it seemed to help my daughters gas.  You can wash the bottles in a sterilizer, dishwasher, or soap and water, all 3 are fine.

  6. Well i sumtimes prepare my little sisters bottle.

I boil the kettle & fill up the bottle wid hot water.

Then i addd how many spoonfuls of powder i need.

If you want to feed it str8 away

Find 2 bowls. Fill up 1/4 of it with cOld water.

Put the baby bottle in and keep swapping.

Then test the milk on ur wrist. Make sure it isnt boiling.

    xx

  7. You use room temp water and add the powder and it is best to stir it not shake it as shaking the bottle makes a lot of air bubbles that make a baby gassy.  If you are preparing the bottle like that then you don't have to warm it up at all.

  8. For each scoop of the powder, you use 2 oz of water.  Use room temperature water to make the bottle.  If the water is cold or you prepared the bottle ahead of time & left it in the fridge, then just sit the bottle in a glass of hot water for about 5 minutes  :)
