My 5yr old is graduating preschool in a few weeks. Im tkaing her out to buy a nice cute dress for graduation. Should I get her another gift to give her at graduation like ballons or flowers. Or a cute ring/neckalce and give that to her before graduation so she has that with her while preforming.

Should I get anything for her teachers? At least a card or soemthing?

  1. We have always given the teachers giftcards for graduations or for end of the school year gifts. They really seem to appreciate them because many teachers do not get paid all summer long. As far as your daughter, we gave our kids a book called "Oh The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss and some sort of little teddy bear with the graduation year on it. There are lots of other books too if you go on Amazon.com and type in graduation, you will see!

  2. You don't really need to do much, just relax and enjoy watching your daughter participate in her very first graduation ceremony. You could get her a new backpack to show she's ready to move on to kindergarten. And the teacher would love a nice thank you, even hand made by your daughter with a gift card to a school supply store. We don't make very much money, school supplies are always welcome.

  3. get your  things that she loves

  4. Yes I would buy her a gift to receive at graduation.  And I would also get something for the teacher.  My daughter is also graduating preschool.  I haven't decided what to get her yet, but I like the idea of a necklace with maybe a princess charm on it.  I also have 4 teachers to thank.....

  5. A gift for your child is a good idea. I like the idea of the necklace given prior to the event. Have it wrapped and let her open it just before leaving home.

Definitely get the teachers something. If possible, cooridinate with other moms to get a class gift. I just posted an idea on one of my websites:

If you do an individual gift for the teacher, a gift card is a good idea (for a pedicure; to a restaurant; to W-M or Target; etc).

  6. Try a book on a subject she loves - http://www.ubah.com/g2687

  7. Yes I would buy a dress for the graduation ceremony and have her hair done and if you can afford it get the gift extra gift or just take her someplace special or even to take pictures to send to everyone. It's up to you. As far as the teachers I would get a thank you card or the visa gift card they can use anywhere they want to even for gas. If it was me I would get my daughter the dress and afterward we would meet the rest of the family at a resturant to eat and have a celebration for her and she can maybe gather more gifts. The next day I would give those teachers some flowers and a thank you gift card for all they have done all year long. The next time I get to do this would be highschool graduation so live it up if you want to. Life is way too short to worry about what others think. It's your child go all out if you want to. You never know what the future holds.

  8. yes, you should gave her something that she like or interested...

  9. I think getting a cute new outfit for graduation will make her feel special and no other gift is necessary.  I wouldn't give her anything at the actual graduation just out of respect for the other children's feelings.  If you do give a gift, wait until she is at home after the program (or before she leaves for school in the morning).

For her teachers - a simple thank you note is always thoughtful, or just a single carnation to show your appreciation.

  10. I think a dress would be enough, depending on the price. if its not to expensive you get get her a bunch of jewerly from claire's, and its cheap. Also i would recommend the sensitive solution jewerly from claires. hope that Helps. For the teachers a card or just a simple thank you is great.
