  1. Have children use colored paper or prints of their hands to make a friendship wreath. You could use the colors of Kwanza, Christmas and Hanukkah.  In the middle of the wreath you can write "Season's Greetings" or "Happy Holidays".

  2. Diwali (festival of lights)

  3. snow flakes, snowmen thats all i can think of thats not religious we make snowflakes in my class

  4. if you live in America id say do something with the snow and the winter, if you live in Australia do something to do with summer and the beach, and no matter where you live include things like family, you could even ask the kids to draw picture or something to show you what the december holidays means to them

  5. oh, kwanzaa is so fun to teach. i did this lesson plan last year....new years, but do it about how all country's celebrate.

    Also:

National Hand Washing Week -1st week of Dec.

Eat a Red Apple Day- Dec. 1

International Day of Disabled Persons- Dec. 3

    Volunteer Day- Dec. 5

    St. Nicholas Day- Dec. 6

    Human Rights Day- Dec. 10

Apollo 17 Lands on the Moon in 1972- Dec. 11

Oh there's so many more...check it out at: http://www.butlerwebs.com/holidays/decem...

i used this web site every month/season. it was fun to set up a calendar and let parents know about special days on the weekends too, like ice cream day an such.

  6. I am a part-time preschool teacher that works for a Baptist Church and we also do something with Jesus.  Now if you are working for a public school, then just do something with snowmen, trees, snowflakes, ornaments, pine cones, presents (that works for any holiday observance).  Hope that helps.
