Does anyone know what's the average salary of a preschool teacher working in a public and private school? I am interested in getting a degree in Early Education. Before I make up my mind to proclaim my major, I want to do some research on the income. Anyone able to help?

  1. A pre school teacher makes about

23-26 thousand dollars a year. It depends

    where you live.

  2. I doubt they make anything good just like teachers they get paid like c**p

  3. if you have to ask a question about the monetary prospects for your major it's not for you.

if you love what you do the material compensation should not be important to you.

and with that i am assuming they make less than the other under payed teachers.

  4. I am currently in high school and want to become a 3rd grade math teacher and the average salary is from 35,000 to 45,000 depending on where you live in a public school. I have an account on GCIS that tells me these things which is where I get my info. Teachers have good insurance even though their pay isn't awesome which is an awesome contributor.

  5. I teach Pre-K, I have a Master's Degree, this is my 2nd year teaching, I teach in public schools, and I get 45,000 a year.  It depends on where you live, how much experience you have, and your education.

  6. this should help, but pay shouldnt matter if you love what your doing...

  7. in the midwest you get 28-35 thousand to start..........I work at a better paying one that gets 35 to start........not the greatest but normal for teachers around here.....I am in a public school.......if you work in a private school or daycare center you get way way less
