  1. This will depend on if you have a degree or not... I worked at a daycare in Cedar Rapids which offered part-time preschool program - I only have part of college but no completed degree... but have two years experience in daycare... if you want to work for a school district you will need a 4 year degree and teacher license in early childhood education... if you want to work in a daycare a 4 year degree is helpful - some daycares have licensed teachers for preschool daycare others do not. This really depends on what you want to do. If you want to work with 3-5 year olds on a full day basis you will want to work in a daycare setting... pay ranges from minimum wage to $10 depending on the center... more nationally recognized daycares will pay more. If you have your degree you will make more. If you want to work in school district and teach preschool for a school you will make the staring salary for teachers probably in the high 20,000 to low 30,000 range. Hope this helps!

  2. Go to a preschool and ask what they require of you. They'll also give you information about pay if you ask.
