Question:

Preschool and kindergarten christmas ideas?

Hello everyone, I am a preschool teacher and also work in a after school care program for kindergartener's. Last year I asked from some ideas for Christmas gifts that the children could make for their parents. I got some wonderful ideas so I thought I would ask again and see what kind of ideas are out there this year. If anyone has any suggestions or gifts there children made them that they really enjoyed I would love to hear from you. Thanks a bunch.

  1. you could make a bookmark using a cartolina or a folder..ask them to color it using poster paint or simply crayons then, ask them to write something for their parents..then ask them to bring a family picture (small or cut it) then have it pasted on the bookmark, then put a red and green ribbon on it...

  2. By far the greatest gift is a homemade gift using pictures because everyone loves memories.

I found this easy to use product where you can actually make tons of different gifts for all sorts of people at all age groups--who knows you may be able to hit everyone on your list with this one product which is under $30.

And it's really great for pre-schoolers--you should definitely check this out because you could use it year round in your classroom as well.

These gifts can be used daily. If my parents didn't get their yearly calendar, they'd be sad. They look at those calendars and the sweet faces of their grandchildren each and every day. In fact, last year my father was a little mad that I didn't include a picture of myself on the calendar. So you can bet that this year's calendar will have each and every person in our family within the pages.

This product has a lot of pre-made scrapbooks

    a calendar

    a deck of cards

    flashcards

    memory cards

and all you have to do is add your own pictures and print.

This year, in addition to the calendars, I am making all my nephews their own set of memory cards with pictures of everyone in our family playing together! I'm going to get them laminated so they can last through spills and baby's mouths, etc. I also have a friend who plays cribbage like crazy, so I'll probably make her a deck of cards.

It's so easy anyone can do it, even me :) And yes, this one product will help me make personalized gifts for so many people.

And the second the product arrives in your inbox is the same second you can start using it.

and you'll be on your way to unique gifts.

    I hope this helps you!

  3. you could watch the polar express while eating popcorn and hot chocolate like they do on the movie, than make reindeer food. (glitter, oatmeal)

  4. I've used clear Christmas tree ornaments available in plastic and glass (careful with glass) available at Michaels or Walmart. Have the children dip their hands in acrylic paint and put a hand print or finger prints on the ornament.. Let it dry and finish with a clear acrylic sealer, and a bow on top. I've written the date and Happy Holidays on the top. the kids can handprint the wrapping paper and tissue paper used to wrap it in while they are still messy from the ornament craft.

  5. How about using paper dollies . Cut in half. With 1 piece fold into a cone.  use the other piece as the wings....Have a face shot of each of the children , cust out the face only and glue to the tip.  Wolla! A perfect angel.  Or how about some tree ornaments.  Use a paper egg carton.  Cut out each egg holder .  Paint or use glue and glitter to decorate.  Run a string down through the top and add a tiny  bead or a knot (this helps to keep the bell free to ring) and then add a bell.  Add a pretty bow on top! Or take small pine cones and brush on glue and roll in glitter.  Add a gold string.  Wola another ornament!  Or....cat a pipe cleaner in half.  Roll up one end.  With the other end add TRI-Colored Beads ( found at JoAnn's or Micheals) .  Once you can add no more bend the pipecleaner tip to hold the beads in place.  Now shape like a Candy cane. Add a bow for a special touch.  I  did this with

our PreK at church and the kids loved it.  You can buy the beads in multi colors or limit them to red and white.  Hope these are helpful to you.

  6. buy tinsle and spred it around the room. get a small Christmas tree they'll love it. put a wreath on the door. make those chains that link together. HAVE FUN AND GOOD LUCK

  7. You should make a gingerbread man out of some kind of material YOU suggest. Then let the children dress the gingerbread man.The girls get to pick dresses, skirts, and tops made by foam. The boys can pick tops pants shorts or anything you want to have(made by foam). No one gets to write on the clothes though.Once they are done they will give it to you and make sure they put their name on the back. You should also have their pictures from picture day. Glue their pictures in and and give it back to them. Then tell them to write i love mom and dad on the front of the clothing. Then they can color and design the clothing. Hope my idea is good
